Thanksgiving Baskets
In 2021, our group prepared 40 turkey dinners for families in need through Stroudsburg Area School District with help from Kiwanis of the Stroudsburg’s Noon Club. In 2022, our Vice President-Beth Yaswinski-applied for and won a grant to DOUBLE this program to which we provided the Stroudsburg community with 80 dinners.
Eagle Scout Project
Ethan built a mobile sensory percussion station that will reside at Mekeel Childcare Center on the campus of East Stroudsburg University of PA. Ethan was enrolled at Mekeel as a toddler and wanted to give back to his “alma mater.” The equipment will benefit children with special needs; but he hopes everyone enrolled will enjoy using the musical instruments.
Bikes for Bicycles
The first Sunday of May, Kiwanis Daybreak hosts a motorcycle show at the Cinder Bar and Grill. We raise money to provide children of Monroe County with bicycles through the Olsen Family Christmas Wish and give them the kits to maintain them through Youth Infusion! Great community support from Tom Riccobono and Zack Lawless!
The next Motorcycle Show is May 5th, 2024 from 12pm to 3pm. $10 buffet at the Cinder Bar and Grill! $20 to enter and show your motorcycle.
